I would think that the anorexia is of greater health concern than the PCOS, at this point. I'm so glad to hear that she's getting some help and working to overcome it, she's a brave girl!

What about eating plenty of foods that aren't as starchy - brown rice instead of white maybe, whole grain breads, that sort of thing. No sugar. I am not a nutritionist by far but I would guess that she would be able to get enough calories in without necessarily having to increase her insulin levels so much.
