guess what... if you can't stop eating suagr/carbs, chances are you have a problem!

You can have IR and be thin/normal weight. your hormones have more to do with insulin levels than weight. a lot of women will lose a lot of weight, resume menstruating... then stop after a few months. their weight stays the same, but it wasn't the weight loss that restarted their periods - it was the altered insulin levels WHILE they were losing weight.

Does that make sense?

even if you are thin, insulin meds or low carbing or both can help with PCOS.

Glucose levels mean very little when determining IR. My glucose level was low/normal. My insulin was 19! Should be less than 10. Unless you had insulin levels done, too, you can't tell anything from your fasting glucose levels. Ideally, the ratio of glucose:insulin should be greater than 4.5. Anything less indicates IR. (My ratio was 4.1 something...)
