ok, here goes.
In my personal experience, (im' a nurse, with a 4 year old) i have taken
several OTC pregnancy tests, and i personally trust a positive result then a
negative one. here's why. the tests are measuring a certian hormone that
your body is producing when you're pregnant. if it detects that hormone
then you are pregnant. if it does not detect that hormone,
it may be to early in the cycle
you body may have not started producing that hormone yet
your body may not be producing enough of that hormone to detect with an
OTC test
as for getting a faint positive
you DO have that hormone being produced.
you are not making alot of that hormone, but it is there
this means that you are pregnant.
Dont get your hopes up yet though. with PCOS it is very easy to miscarry,
and often you won't even realize it. with a faint positive sign, I
interprete that as you are pregnant, but beware, cause your body may not
like it so to speak, and may miscarry.
a blood test is a very good thing, cause it will tell you 99.9999% or some
insanly high number, that you are or are not pregnant.
As for not getting a period. that just means that you haven't shed your
inner lining. this means that you can still get pregnant if your ovulating.
not necessarily that you are pregnant (especially with PCOS, when your
periods can become very irregular)
Hope that i've helped you. if you have any more questions, just put my name
in the subject line so i tune into it, or send me an email
