My personal experience was about the same, Michele. I was going to an
obgyn and was complaining of the facial hair. He ran a little test,
told me to continue the b/c pill and that everything was "normal". NOT!
A few years later I had to go to a new doctor (an internist) due to a
change in insurance. It was a great thing. This doctor to the
initiative to find out what was causing some of my abnormalities. After
about a year of testing, the cysts were found through an MRI. It didn't
show up in a CT scan.
I'd agree with Anne. Get tested. I would opt for the MRI right away if
you have insurance. It would definitely be more accurate than a CT
scan. I felt that was a waste of my time and money.
Good luck!
