I had a hysterectomy in February due to the pain I was experiecing from
my periods, sometimes landing me in the local er. It was a decision
that took about 6 months to make with the help of my drs, not one we
jumped into without thinking it totally through. Three months have
passed since my surgery, and I am here to tell you, I still take 2200mgs
glucopage daily, still have hair growing on my face, still have thin
hair on my head, and still battle my weight problem. So no,
hysterectomy will not help your pcos symptoms, it will make you stop
bleeding. In my case, I was searching for a pain free life, and for the
first time in many years have that as a result of my hysterectomy and
couldn't be happier. I can live with the other symptoms, it's just a
relief not experiencing the pain that I was anymore...
