I read that is only the case if you already have a kidney disorder. The trick is to drink at least 64 oz of water per day, plus an extra 8 for every 25 pounds you are over weight.

Exercise is very important, it will speed up your metabolism, and therefore help you to burn fat more quickly, and it will help to tone your body, win - win situation.

My advice would be to read as many books as possible, and then decide which plan is best for you, don't think of it as a diet, a diet is a short term thing, low carb for IR should be a way of life!
