It is the same for me. Starchy carbs can trigger hot flashes, especially at night. Rice at dinnertime seems to do it for me. And also alcohol wihtout protein. I suspect it is something of a glucose reaction or rather spike and then drop in blood sugar as the food is metabolized. See if you can trace a food link to the hot flashes. I noticed it more as I approached menopause, and as I started eating low carb and then ate a starchy carb or sugar. Pat
