Candi CandiNurse, Exercise fatigue can be a sign either that you need to just start slower or that you have (among other things I don't know about) low iron - esp. ferritin or thyroid disease. I posted to your other question about using thyroid hormone for glucophage side effects and stated that it was inappropriate and possibly dangerous to take unless needed. I would suggest that you get your thyroid and ferritin checked. Thyroid should be 2 or lower, ferritin (your iron storage bank) should be over 40/50. Disregard lab "normal" values on these items. Good luck. Do try to fix what ever is causing the exercise problem. Try five minutes twice a day. That was how I started out last year and now I do an hour of cardio and strength training. But when I started on an exercise bike last year I was often going to bed with either ice or a heating pad. Exercise is really essential to treat IR and prevent diabetes. Best wishes, Anne
