Glucophage should be tapered off gradually. This is because of the potential for rebound insulin. Your insulin can increase rapidly causing serious hypoglucemia. Glucophage should be taken each day beginning with a slow build-up and ending with a slow back-down.

It probably had nothing to do with blood circulation.
