Re: Hair question?From: Kimmie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 23 Apr 2002 17:36:22 -0500 (CDT)
I have never received the actual numbers when I have tests done. It has been awhile since I have had tests done for mormones. I have had general blood work done and been tested for thyroid. Lots of symptons for that, joint pain, lethargy, dpression, etc. But, diabetes runs in my family, both grandparents had it and my Mother has it as well. My Mom is also overweight and "apple" shaped. I am not as overweight, but never had a weight problem until puberty hit. Does that sound familiar to some of you? My periods were normal, but I was on the pill for several years then had a baby(so I did get pregnant with not too much difficulty) and I am now on Depo-Provera. I probally should get some more tests done, but the DR's or so NOT helpful. I went and spilled my guts to mine last year, told him all about my fatigue, etc and he did tests then NOTHING!!! I did not even hear about the results, I had to ask for them. The nurse I go to for my pap-tests thought I might be pre-menopausal! Talk about confusing!! All I know is that I feel shitty alot, just no energy, feel completely wiped out. I swear I am a carb-addict as well(arent alot of women?!) I will keep looking for more info and read postings here. Any more input is aways welcome!!!
