Hi,

What tests are you referring to? You also don't mention your age. If you just went off the pill in January it can take a few months for your body to readjust. The first thing would be to get a period, and then start from there.

The choice between ob/gyn and endocrinologist is not which specialty is a better idea, but what doctor can treat you best. If its an obgyn, that's fine, same for endocrinologists. As for a reproductive endocrinologist, do you have insurance that you would have to pay for all of it, or do you have to get a referral first?

You might want to ask on the women's health list this questions to get a better idea of the infertility route from one obgyn perspective. I also have some info on it at my webpages.

Now, more than ten years later, married, and ready to think about having children, I discovered that I, too, most likely have PCOS. They are doing more tests to confirm, but that's the initial diagnosis. I only went off the pill this January, and I haven't had a period since. Is OBGYN better than endocrinologist? Or should I seek out a fertility clinic? Is anyone familair with the doctors in southeastern Connecticut, where I live? I would appreciate any feedback you can give me. Thank you.
