Yes, unfortunately, the ones I left alone grew long and then turned dark. I DID try
electrolysis twice but had a bad reaction. Jolene is available in drugstores, Stop and
Shop etc.. I went down to shaving my legs only when I needed to....like in the summers
or when I had to wear a dress, and it is still dark, but I not so coarse and grows back
slower. Don't be scared sweetie, we do have this syndrome but with the help of support
from fellow sistas, we can find ways around it. I am 24 years old and just found this
site. I was diagnosed when I was 16 and had symptoms since the age of twelve. My
friend shaves her arms but it grows back pretty stubbly, so I wouldn't suggest that.
Nair is irritating, but Jolene is pretty good as long as you don't keep it on after the
recommended application time. If you have more questions, please e mail me back if you
want to swap stories!
