If you are only nauseated and vomiting when you are on your period, it is unlikely the result of the Glucophage.

I cannot understand what you are saying in your post so I am going to try to cover all of the bases since you are in pain and do not need to wait for an answer.

*If* you have been having the diarrhea only since your started your period, I need for you to make an appointment with your doctor (or who ever is on call) now. This can be a sign of endometriosis, which needs to be looked at but more significantly, Ibuprophen or naproxen should be able to handle the pain for you. If it is not, there are things that will allow you to be in more comfort. If this is the way you are intending the message, the women at work have probably not had pain during their menstrual cycle like this (less than 7% have). Don Quai will probably not help with that. Let me give you a link to a site for more information: http://www.mediresource.net/canoe/health/PatientInfo.asp?DiseaseID=225 There are several tips on this page which may help you with some of the pain. There are also some herbs listed that may help.

*If* you have been having the diarrhea since you started the Glucophage, you need to back off of what you are taking until you get to a level where you are not having diarrhea. Do not take the Glucophage with a lot of carbs, this includes soda pop, alcohol, potatoes, bread, rice and sweet fruit. Many of these things would typically be considered as healthy for people but not for us and particularly not when we are starting Glucophage. Try taking the pill before your meal OR after your meal OR during the meal. Women here have had success with taking it at all of these different times. Some women cannot take it befroe the meal, some cannot take it after. Do what works for you. You are really not getting the full benefit of the medication if it is making you ill. Glucophage XR may be better for you.

It seems that Don Quai is a phytoestrogen and is chemically similar to estrogen. Chances are that you do not need more estrogen. Generally, we have enough or more than enough estrogen, it is progesterone that we need. Our high LH levels keep the testosterone in our bodies high and when that testosterone gets into our fat cells, it is easily converted to estrogen.

I cannot tell you if Don Quai will work for you. Studies have been non-conclusive. I cannot tell you if it will make your PCOS worse. I do not know what your hormone levels are, I do not know what else you are taking, I do not know how much Don Quai you are planning on taking, I do not know how *your* body will react if you take Don Quai.

I can tell you that women with PCOS generally do not need more estrogen. I can tell you that having very severe pain with your menstrual period in not normal. If it were me, I would do whatever it took in order to alleviate pain that was causing me to vomit.
