Hi Charly, I can only tell you about myself as I do not understand everything you have mentioned in your e-mail but this may be interesting to you: 1) I weighed over 25 stone, my periods had almost stopped completely, my hair was VERY thin at the front on top, I had whiskers on my chin and some stray dark hairs elsewhere and needless to say I was VERY unhappy. 2) I was prescribed Dianette to help with my pocs symptoms, I was delighted to be offered some help after YEARS of telling my gp that "something" was wrong but in the 6 months I was on it I gained 4 stone!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had been 21 stone before taking the drug. I came off it pretty quickly! 3) I was depressed about constantly being told "LOSE WEIGHT" It is so easy to tell a person to do that and it is SO HARD to do. I had no other choice so I started to change the way I ate. I joined a slimming club (slimming world) and I have lost about 2 stone so far, after losing only 1 and a half stone my periods came back to an exact 28 day cycle, my hair is improving (not sure if this is psychological??) and I feel terrific. 4) I am having trouble maintaining weight loss as I am not a diligent dieter, but I AM getting there and the benefits feel so good. I still have the whiskers which I either pluck or have waxed. 5) exercise, I find it good. I "think" it helps me to get rid of a sort of latent aggression that I put down to the hormones, I am not violent, I just sometimes feel so angry that it surprises me! this sounds scary but In wonder if other pocs women feel this way. I am much less "angry" if I exercise and eat properly. This must make me sound terrible but I have tried to be honest with you so that if possible I can be of some help. my main point of writing was to warn you about the weight gain I experienced on Dianette. All the best , Clare.
