For Renee::RE: lymphedemaFrom: Barb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 18 Apr 2002 02:56:14 -0500 (CDT)
Dear Renee, Thanking you very much for this site. As you may remember by my former posts,describing my symptoms of pitting edema and asking you if it is normal for legs/feet to turn colors and you answered "NO",while specialists are still scratching their heads. Some of these stages do fit well with my complaints.The tightness...Now why couldn't I describe it as that? Thanking you again. For it is questions such as these about a doughy abdomen...which is PCOS related...(I think)...and I discover something that I never heard of which seems to be related to me.Something I have been searching for about my symptoms and found nothing to relate to me at all.You may just have saved me from undergoing the same old tests all over again. This is why I visit this site daily.I FINALLY found something that fits with the swelling in my legs and ab...My leg problems as you already know...pose one of the most disabling aspects of my life. I agree with the stimulating device not being used at home.My instincts were swaying towards what you mentioned. Just a quick question. Last miscarriage in fourth month..followed by D&C,;shortly thereafter the leg sensations and others....then recent diagnosis of PCOS and IR..Lupus....any relation here to lymphedema?Your professional opionion. Something is still puzzling me,as ALL my problems started shortly after my miscarriage.And I mean ALL!( not talking about my acne and hairloss,menstral irregularities thru youth which I was told then;was normal.)
-- Sincerely, Barb C.
