I would ask for a second and third opinion if necessary, before choosing this drastic surgery. I would see an reproductive endocrinologist, and make see what they have to say. WAs this the surgeon suggesting this, surgery over medications ? If you have explored and tried all of the options, and decide this is the way to go, that is a choice. But to jump to this first off....I would be very wary. The thought of being limited to a lifetime of small bites of food is encough to discourage me. I will be interested to hear how you sort it out.
