Breast feeding -- how does it affect estrogen and progesterone? Lowers cancer risk?

Does breastfeeding a child put the brakes on the unupposed estrogen we pcosers produce? Does this mean that while we are breastfeeding we don't have to use progesterone and worry about hyperplasia?

Thanks.

Linda
