Yep, you got the right stuff sweetie. I really hope that this remedy helps you...my goodness...it is the only thing that saved me. My face was a complete mess from ingrown hairs. The alcohol and the aspirin works well for cold sores and actual "acne" that is stubborn and will not go away. Aspirin reduces the swelling...and allows the root to heal. If your face cannot handle the rubbing alcohol, then you can disolve the aspirin in "water." Alcohol works better as it it used to absorb the aspirin into the skin. Keep at it, I know it will work. I have all kinds of little helpful things...if you have nay other problems..please let me know if I can help you. ;-)
