Just wanted to let you know that saw palmetto lowers the level of Dihydroxytestosterone (DHT) NOT the level of testosterone. Testosterone is converted to DHT via the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. Saw palmetto blocks the ability of 5-alpha reductase to function.... therefore.... lower DHT levels. It is elevated DHT levls that lead to hair loss. Good Luck
