It definately sounds like a possibility. Your menstural cycle should be
regular a year after you have your first cycle. The discoloration and
the skin tags can be a sign of insulin resistance (a step below
diabetes). You might go to http://www.pcosupport.org . There is a quiz
there where you can see if it is likely that you have PCOS. There is
also a lot of information at this site. Since PCOS can lead to
diabetes, heart disease or endometrial cancer, it is important that you
do what you can to manage this problem. Perhaps if you took you mom to
the above site or to this forum, it would help her understand your
concern.
