Re: Good Exercise

All I know is that Glucophage (Met), even a very small dose, helps me feel a whole lot better, and allows me the opportunity to eat a lot better and a lot healthier, and allows me the energy to exercise well again. Whatever it is doing, it is certainly doing something good.

I regret so much that I was not diagnosed or able to take glucophage in my mid-20's when the symptoms began. Now in my 40's, I would not have had the "damage" to my body now that I have if it had been recognized sooner. My doctor recently told me, and I agree, that becoming a "health nut" at the age of 14 probably saved me from getting pcos too badly and kept my insulin resistance at a calmer level, but it certainly did not prevent the illness from working it's way into my body. The older one gets, the more difficult it is for the body to fight off health problems without a little extra boost. And the longer one waits to treat those problems that cannot be completely solved with diet and exercise, the more damage to the body it will create.

All I can say is that glucophage saved my life and helped me enjoy life again. And thank you girls on this message forum for helping ME educate my doctors!

P.S. I'm still a health nut! 30 years and counting! :o)
