It could be said that way too, but at that point it's sort of nit-picky. The disease is genetic, a genetic defect in our insulin receptors and sometimes in the shape of our insulin as well. So a drug that helps to change that so that we can use the insulin better... well it could be said either way. You're right.

I simply meant Metformin wasn't like bcp, in that it actually does help you to become healthier, instead of just solving some cosmetic problems.
