Re: Why are Soy products bad for PCOS? (pancaea)From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 30 Mar 2002 13:04:36 -0600 (CST)
Panacea, the problem with the links presented is that they are not primary sources, rather they are articles compiled by people who are obviously anti-soy. while that opinion is valid, and could very well be based in fact, i personally would need to see the actual studies that PROVE soy is dangerous. i do not eat soy, not because i think it is dangerous, but because i see no use for it in my daily diet. i am however open to the possibility that soy does indeed have harmful effects. do you have any links to actual studies done by non-biased parties? love, paula ps, the same goes for your previous post about provera. i did not intend that to be an attack, rather i would be very interested in actual information that shows it is not as good as the progesterone creams or suppositories, especially since i have been taking provera on and off for about 14 years. please do not assume that because i challange studies, that i am challenging your opinions or your sources, instead i am looking for non-biased information that can prove helpful.
