Re: Is there such a thing as mild PCOS? opinions on my labs...From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Mar 2002 15:09:26 -0600 (CST)
yes, you can have mild PCOS...the only thing i see that is indicated in your blood work is your LH is a bit high (assuming you had it drawn on day 3 of your cycle, it should be less than 7). a LH that is higher than FSH is one indication of PCOS. it is possible that you have PCOS, but i really do not think this is a barrier to your conception. usually when a PCOSer can't conceive, it is because we are not ovulating. since you are ovulating, your testosterone is within normal levels for a lab, but most would consider a level of over 50 elevated to some extent. also, having cysts on your ovaries is not diagnostic of PCOS, it is merely one symtpom of the disease. it is possible you have a mild form, but i would be concerned about why your ovulatory cycles are not ending in a pregnancy... i am sorry i can't be of more help... love, paula
