Christine, there is not really a point in taking the GTT without insulin levels (unless you are checking for diabetes), if your doctor is refusing to look for the actual signs of insulin resistance (and therefore PCOS) it is my opinion that more than likely this doctor is just giving you the GTT to shut you up. you can fake the GTT results, but it will actually probably get you labeled a diabetic instead of a PCOSer. i would suggest changing doctors, or DEMANDING the correct tests...have you at least had a fasting insulin level? assuming your insulin is really high, that should show up as abnormal as well, and since it is one blood draw, it is much easier to fake...(not that i am recommending that).
