Hello everybody, I was just wondering if anyone has been so desperate to be treated for their PCOS that they tried to alter a regular glucose test ( by not fasting ect.).I have all the symptoms of PCOS (no periods, dark excess hair growth all over my body, acne, tired all the time ect.) but, my doctor refuses to give me a glucose tolerance test with insulin levels. He finally decided to give me the regular glucose tolerance test (without Insulin levels), but I read that your glucose levels can be normal, normal, normal, and you can still be insulin resistant. apparently your insulin levels have to be tested along with the standard test to show if someone has IR. I would appreciate any information; I get tested on monday or Tuesday (4/1 or 4/2).If someone wants to email me anonymously my address is: chrisreeder@hotmail.com Thank you--Christine
