I just tied into this board today and saw something about Avandia and weight gain. I've been on Advantia since November after my Dr. decided that the glucophage XR side affects were causing me too many problems. (Generally, I keep experience what I consider to be low-blood sugar dips, even though my blood sugar doesn't seem that low). I am on medication because I progressed to diabetes. Since being on the Advantia..I do seem to have gained weight but in my usual, guilt-ridden obsession over my weight, I automatically assume it is something wrong that I am doing, although there has not been much of a change in either diet or exercise. I am curious as to other's experiences of Advantia and weight issues as well as some of the side effects and how people are handling them.
