Re: Feel great, but notice mood challenges after ovulationFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 Mar 2002 08:19:36 -0600 (CST)
Just looked at your message again, here's more on my diet Breakfast - fruit salad (honeydew melon, cantalope, apple, strawberries) topped with flax seed meal or steelcut oatmeal with splenda and cinnamon and flax seed, or sprouted whole wheat toast with light butter or a combination of two of these. Lunch - salad of mixed dark green lettuces and spinach, chopped peppers, cucumbers, carrots, low fat sugar free salad dressing. And or/ left overs from dinner. Snack - orange, or nuts. Dinner - Sauted veggies with brown rice, or a Near East rice or couscous mix. My husband and I typically chop a green pepper, a red pepper, zuchinni, yellow squash, onion, carrot, broccoli, garlic - some combination of these and saute them either in a tomato base - canned diced tomatoes, or soy sauce. The trick is to use a lot of spice. Its really good. Sometimes we cut our veggies together on the weekend for the week - just put them in plastic containers. The cutting takes the longest, cooking is only 5-10 minutes, (rice takes longer)
