I was on upto 30 milligrams of prednisone, but generally averaged between 15 and 20. According to my rheumie anything about about 15 is considered to be a moderate/high dosage. I have all the side effects (moon face, weight gain, stretch marks, etc.) and they didn't go away until about 3 months after I got off of it completely. I hope tis helps.
