Hi Terra, Is it possible that you nicked yourself while shaving? Just a thought,as this happens to me sometimes after shaving and usually subsides in a day or two. Yes,it could be glandular swelling. If it persists more than a week, get it checked out.I just wrote a post about mono....my first bout started out with glandular swelling in my arm pits...then neck.Everyone is different.

If it hurts....most likely glandular..if it does not..please get it looked at. Pain is glandular...no pain can be something else.Sometimes you may think it is swelling, but it is the same as the breasts that can get tender with your cycle. You should be doing regular breast exams,of course including the armpits..do it monthly after your period and see if you notice a change.Maybe I am wrong here,as I think about it....could be hormone related, but in any case, any swelling in the armpit deserves some attention if it is persistant.
