Hi. I recently myself have had an increase of vellus hair growth all over my body. I mean all over. It's very devestating because i've been to my Dr. and to out of town clinics, and noone seems to want to do anything about it. This sudden growth of hair happened after taking the morning after pills. My free testosterone and DHEA-S were in normal range but on the higher end, but because they were in normal range, they see it not being a problem. But who knows what they were before. (they could of been very low) This hair growth doesn't seem to stop, so this concerns me, and i'm not giving up until someone takes me seriously. I've researched tonnes on how free testosterone is metabolized to a more potent androgen called DHT which stimulates hair growth, but the doctors refer to that as hirsutism, not what i'm experiencing. So, if what i have is hypertrichosis, how do you cure that? Is there medication you can take. Desperately seeking peace of mind, any insite would be appreciated. And for all you ladies out there, spread the word. Don't ever take the morning after pill!!!!
