I may be misreading this but you are taking your Glucophage at 10 pm and 10 am and this is your FIRST dosage? WRONG.

Are you taking Glucophage XR or regular? If you are taking XR, start with one pill for a week and then increase to the second the next week only if you have no GI side effects. If you are taking regular Glucophage, you are taking it all wrong. Feel free to SLAP the person who told you to take it this way! You take ONE pill the first week. ONE! If that bothers you, you cut it in half the first week, if that bothers you, you cut it in fourths. You increase gradually week by week. You take it WITH meals. The regular Glucophage is not time released and does not stay in your system slowly eaking out medicine all day long. You need to take it when your body is about to get a carb rush so the Glucophage will help your body metabolize the carbs correctly. The first week, you take the ONE pill with your largest meal. The next week you take your pill with the next largest meal.

This is not somehting you should even try to put up with. Work up to your theraputic dosage, SLOWLY.
