Re: Glucophage side effects-HELP ME PLS!!!!!!!From: angelaj (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 21 Mar 2002 13:22:50 -0600 (CST)
:)) Trust us, it will go away...try some imodium to help aleviate some of it as well. Believe me, I have a camping horror story that is as graphic as yours, but there weren't any bathrooms around..get the picture?! :) I had no idea that starting my meds 2 weeks before I went on vacation would be a problem. LOL Took me about 6 weeks for it to level off and feel normal again. Each time the dr would up the dose, I would go through that. I'm up to 2200mgs daily now, took me 6-8 weeks to adjust, but there is hope for normal bowel habits! lol Hang in there! Try epsom salt soaks after each bm, might help with some of the discomfort and make sure you aren't taking the meds on an empty stomach. HTH's
