OK... I LOVE THIS BOARD, AND SO I'M TOSSING THIS OUT HERE BECAUSE I AM CONFIDENT I'LL GET SOME PERSPECTIVES...

As many of you have probably read, I recently got my first Glucophage... my thyroid was removed a few years ago and I take Levoxyl to replace the thyroid hormones... ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN? My Glucophage prescription is 500mg twice daily... my Levoxyl is once a day... in the past I have heard from my favorite pharmacist that it's better to space out certain meds but I haven't been able to talk to him lately... so anyone have any first hand experience on this???

And another thing... I have been subscribing to the theory of "make one change at a time" so I'm just now adding in this Glucophage and I am waiting to restart on Atkins (I had done it for 4 months ending 7 months ago) I figure this will let me monitor my side effects of the meds better... (((PLUS I AM A HUGE CAFFEINE ADDICT AND THE LET DOWN SUCKS!!! I TAKE IN ALL MY CAFFEINE FROM SODA- ENDO SAID IT WAS A CLASSIC PCO NEED FOR SUGAR AND PEP... BUT I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING ATKINS AGAIN...TO DO IT AND LOSE ANYTHING I HAD TO STAY BETWEEN 7-10 CARBS PER DAY!!!!!!!) Thoughts!?!?!?! HELP?

And lastly (leastly) but out of curiousity... my Glucophage bottle says "no alcohol consumption" and I am just kind of surprised my endo didn't warn me... (GOSH I SOUND LIKE A TOTAL SHIKKER?!?!?! I don't drink often... but I do usually have a drink or so here and there socially and I enjoy it... ARE THESE SOCIAL DRINKS GONE FOREVER?

OK...LONG POST ENDING NOW... GET TO WORK GIRLS, I TRUST YOU'LL HAVE THE ANSWERS AND THAT'S ONE REASON WHY I LOVE Y'ALL!!!
