Sorry, I'm behind on some of the digests. Bag Balm is an ointment that has the same texture as Vick's Vapor Rub that started out helping cow's udders to not chap. Its a Vermont farmer type of thing from what I remember. When I was putting Cody through dog trials (Conformation, Obedience, Agility and Flyball championships with points towards other Championships and regular titles before retiring), I happened upon this from friends when Cody got a cut on the road. Within 2 hours he stopped picking at the cut, and within 24 it was healed. Seems lots of dog people knew about it, at least the groups I dealt with did.
