Hi!
Please read Paula's post over and over, Ruth! It is quite inspiring and
it can only give you something that you sound like you desperately need
-- HOPE! DON'T give up! Yes, do go in for treatment! Find a doctor,
preferably and endocrinologist who has experience with PCOS. Keep
searching until you find a doctor who has the knowledge to help you!
Many of us with PCOS actually gain weight on traditional diets. You
will still have PCOS even if you lose weight. I'm sure you know this
but there is no cure for PCOS and many women with PCOS are not obese.
Like Paula said though, carrying excess weight can exacerbate PCOS. A
combination of low carbing and Glucophage can do wonders for us!
Glucophage is not a diet drug and you need to combine it with a diet low
in carbs to see some good results. Ruth -- do it for yourself! You
deserve the very best! Do it and go for it! There are many of us who are
struggling with the same stuff who can help you out along the way! Ruth,
I know that this it tough! Your story brings me to tears. I will have
you and your family in my prayers. It takes a special someone to adopt
like you did and I hope the best for you and for your family! You will
be on my heart! God bless! Tera
