Re: Progesterone Cream

I used to use a wild yam root cream. My endo wasn't exactly psyched
that I was using it because he said I wasn't getting consistent amounts
of progesterone every day (or whatever the right amounts are for various
phases of the female reproductive cycle), but he wasn't completely
against it either. Mostly he thought there were better ways of dealing
with PCOS. I will say that it DEFINATELY helped in the sense that if
didn't apply it at all, I would get my period once every 75 days or so.
If I did apply it (almost every day) I consistently got my period around
every 42 days (and I ahve a 3 year calander documenting this- I'm
neurotic about writing down my period dates). And it made me feel
better to get my period more often... I had less other symptoms then.
BUT... at some point my hair really started falling out and my periods
got a little whack-o again (stress, I think) so I decided to try
something new again. Now I'm on Yasmin, which seems to be working out
OK except that I'm a little bloated which is making me kind of sad and
uncomfortable. Trying to stick it out though- today is a better day.
Much less bloating, so...
That's my experience...
