Re: Insulin levels-- To VirginiaFrom: Kari (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Feb 2002 12:05:37 -0600 (CST)
My God...My insulin level was exactly the same......I was told that level is not considered to be high(even though everything that I have read and researched show that anything over 10 for a average healthy young woman is abnormal...)My Endo would not prescribe any drugs such as Metformin unless my insulin level was in the 40's...so here I am battling with my weight and all other things that come from being insulin resistant... Including the cravings for sweets so bad that it wakes me up at night...I can't have any sweets in the home or I indulge to the point where I make myself sick...I shake uncontrollably until I get some sort of sugar in my system....and my Dr was the same way....she just took a double take on me and said she did not feel it is abnormal.....so no you aren't in this alone...Please feel free to contact me at keakers@czn.com and take care.... xxxx-oooo, Kari*
