Hi Ladies. I post here once in awhile but I get every post daily and I do read all of them. If at all possible read what I type here word for word. I have had pcos since i was 13, my cycles are non existant and the only reason they are coming now is cause I am on Metformin and low carbing. When I low carb without the Metformin they also come. I have spent tons of money on my own trying to figure out quick cures and healthy alternatives to my own pcos problem. I have tried all the diets out there from fat free to no carb. If you keep racking your heads on what to try as for herbs or vitamins you to will see your money going out the door just as fast. The only thing that is going to work for pcos and to CONTROL it is you CHANGING your eating habits! It is basically changing your way or life since most skip breakfast or lunch but I think we can all agree we eat dinner. I do have a doctor that is very knowledgable to this pcos (his wife has it) and she too can tell you that without changing your eating habits nothing will work. You will only be spending money on new things to try and fall into the old habit of over eating even being on low carb. Bingo I have done this----following the herb/vitamin regimine I was on. If you continue to eat what you want on Metformin the way you originally ate before being diagnosed you will not loose weight, you might gain or may stay the same. If you take all the thing and combine them together they all amount to one thing.......CHANGE YOUR EATING HABITS! Eat three meals a day do not skip any.......if you skip breakfast or lunch or both you will see that eating at night, you will consume more. Your metabolism slows down at night and no matter if you work out for two hours it still will not help you loose the pounds fast. Balance and control along with plan out what you are going to eat. I deal with hair growth but have Vanique to help maintane it......it does not stop it slows it down so that I do not have to pluke daily. I use Metformin to help break down the little carbs i do consume. and I work out every other night. I am loosing the body fat slowly like each one of you should do if you loose it fast it will surely find its way back to you.

I do not want to sound upsetting since i know it is not easy to deal with pcos. I have it and I still can not get pregnant, and I am 32 and have yerned for my own child of my own for over 10 years. I have had my ups and downs thru life with one failed marriage and another one that would of failed because I was letting the pcos moods get the better of me. I am glad i finally seen the lite. It is all this surrounding things that ruin your life and take control. I know you are unhappy with skin tags and hair growth and being overweight but the only one that can change it is you. If you start with the most easiest thing to change but takes a little effort it is the weight. Then you will see the skin tags stop appearing and the hair growth on various body parts slow down also and can be controled. Instead of buying book after diet book and spending a lot of money on low carb diet bars and drink mixes and tons of herbs and vitamins that only make you feel good on the inside, I spend the money on myself after loosing a few pounds a week on new clothes and trips to the tanner or a class for nutrition at my local college. Once you decide what you really want out of your bodies the rest will follow. I have been where alot of you are now. Confused not knowing what to do, crying cause of hair here and there, loosing strands of hair like mad, skin tags, a jiggle here and a jiggle there. Now I take one day at a time. I do not spend 10 hours a day online trying to find a cure when the only cure is to get on some schedule with your body and work for it not against it. Planning out your day is not easy it takes alot of patience with yourself first! IT took time to gain the weight and it will take time to loose it along with effort. If you really want to do something good for your body then it does start with you! Not with metformin, herbs, vitamins and all your money going out the door with alot of headaches to boot. I am not a doctor but i am a nurse and I too have my own hurdles that i am working on. And before I blow my life and my marriage out the door cause i did not feel worthy I stopped searching and went for the easy aspect that would help control pcos symptoms.............controling what i did. I hope it wakes some of you up before you end up in depression. It is the next step if you do not change old habits. I too have been there and it tends to take you down hill faster then pcos will if you let it. Good luck to you all and i hope in a few more and more of you will soon post happy thoughts instead of letting this depress you even more.
