Hi Monika & Ami -

You ladies are not alone! PCOS definately takes a good whack at your self-esteem. I always think to myself that if I didn't have this - I would be a completely different person. I have a "type A" personality and am a forward person... but the more the "symptoms" of PCOS rears its ugly head, the more I want to fold into my shell. This affects my interactions with others - I tend to not look people in the eyes anymore because I don't want to see them looking at my face.... But you know what - sometimes I just get all dressed up, put on some rockin makeup and hair - and I walk out the door thinking I am just as good as anyone else - and people notice the positive changes. Sometimes it's good to just set aside all the PCOS B.S. and act our age - be crazy and know you're beautiful inside and out! :)

At any rate.. babies. There's a lot of my friends getting married and having babies... but have heart! There are medications that can help (so I've heard)... and many women with PCOS do have babies... so don't think it's impossible! :)

I am really scared and also in my 20's. My husband and I want to have a baby soon, but I hate for anyone to see me like I am now. It's hard for me because I have always been outgoing and busy, now I want to hide from the world. My family says they miss the old me. I wish I could be her again. >Bye, >Ami
