I too ,am a chistian woman and the last year with my wonderful friends who have trust in god, have taught me how to pray and respect others.....I feel that it has helped me cope with my depression related to all these physical and mental anguish.I can understand your comment on easily giving into your self loathing and suicidal urges.I met a wonderful person thru a health store...she owns it....we have become great friends and witout her teaching me how we must pray and that we cannot give into this...I think I may have become stronger somewhat. There is not ONE day, that she does not call me so that we can pray together. She it truly a remarkable woman. She got me involved in a prayer circle(I was very, very reluctant,as my husband is catholic and does not believe in alot of the christian ways),but I will keep those names who want to be,in my prayer circle if you ask. Normally,I would have never done this.I really didn't have alot of faith at all in much...but now things have changed alot for me. After reading so many sites on how prayer or just reciting psalms from the bible, can help some cope.It gives us hope.Yes,I now believe thru all this, that god does love me,and there is a plan for my life.I have to believe this to get thru.Maybe once my life was too easy.Maybe one day,I will have the knowledge and strenght to help others that have suffered greatly. God Bless you for having faith!
