Hiya Barbara,

I am anorexic but have not gone with out eating for wow 6 yrs now!!! Anyway yes it does affect the periods but i had very irregular periods before this time and one of the reasons i think i stopped eating was because nothing else worked to bring down my weight. This is not just altered body image as people can see it too and no one ever told me i looked ill, but when i was eating nothing  and going to aerobics up to 3 times a day i just looked like a normal girl for my age and people kept complimenting me on how well i had done to loose "all" that weight.

You were also asking about problems with the immune system, well i have not been diagnosed yet but the gp has just taken bloodtests to test me for chronic fatigue syndrome and he was very shocked that my old gp did not pick it up as apparently i have had overwhelming symptoms all the way through my history for the past 4-5 yrs.

I am also asthmatic and seem to be allergic to everything!! Bloomin heck i might as well go and live in a bubble!!!!!! Good luck Barbara hope you manage to work it all out!
