This is where I'm still getting hung up. I already know I have a problem. I can see the value of eating "regularly" in order to get a diagnosis. But, in order to monitor on-going status, why prove there's a problem once again? To me, it's much more valuable to know my fasting insulin level per my lifestyle. I know my insulin is high. I need to monitor my control. It's like telling a diabetic to not take their insulin and eat lots of sugar before taking their fingerstick. They are monitoring their control.

Maybe there's something I'm not getting, but it's still not making sense to me, with the exception of making the initial diagnosis.
