I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS, although I don't really understand the diagnosis. My husband and I have just started the IVF process, we start injections in about a week. My infertility doctor put me on Glucophage, he wants me to take 1500mg/day, so far I've only been able to take 1000mg. I'm wanting to find out if anyone has experienced similar difficulty with this drug and can help me control the side effects. My tests supposedly showed that I have high FSH and low LH, I don't really have a problem with blood sugar or insulin. My regular doctor says my case is very mild, I don't have cysts and I ovulate regularly. My problem is that I am EXTREMELY nauseous, ALL DAY!! I can't get over it. It doesn't matter what I eat or if I eat all day, I'm still nauseous. They've told me to eat a high protein diet but I'm so sick that meat or cheese or eggs or nuts are the last thing I want to eat and when I try it's all I can do not to gag. Any help would be great. I've talked to the doctor and this is the treatment they want to keep me on and if IVF works I'll have to stay on it through the entire pregnancy so I just have to learn to control the effects of it. Please help!

Thanks.
