Diagnosed as having PCOS....now being told misdiagnosedFrom: tmw (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 23 Feb 2002 16:53:30 -0600 (CST)
Maybe someone out there can help me out a bit. Here's some labs that have been done..along with the "classic" symptoms and other symptoms(hair on upper lip, mild acne, sideburns, cyst on ovary (now gone..after BCP), very dry skin, dark skin in armpit). Very tired, yeast infections, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, etc... 5 Hr Glucose..waiting for a printout of the lab...posting what I remember.. (1st hr 100/2nd hr 87/3rd hr 60)Insulin (1st hr high (off the chart), 2nd hr high (off the chart), 3rd hr "normal range")..trace of glucose in urine during 2nd and 3rd hr. BUN: 10/FSH:2.98/LH:6.4/Free T4:1.55/TSH:.371/UREA Nitrogen7:/WBC:10.5/MCH:28.6/MCHC:33.6/ Progesterone:2.2:RBC:4.88/RETIC:1.6/Testosterone<20/Triglycerides:189. Is it all in my mind or is the diagnosis of misdiagnosis wrong? I was diagnosed by a different doctor...he has now moved.
