Metformin is a drug that you need to work up on your dosage. If you take too much too soon, you can have stomach problems (diarrhea, nausea, etc.) It may reduce your appetite. You *may* lose weight (it is not a weight loss drug, but some people have reported weight loss). It does not reduce you blood sugar, it simply helps your insulin work properly.
