Dear Dr.Sam, I have a question about Yasmin, I have read previously that it is an okay choice for pcosers. I'm just starting it, I'm 37 and finished having children. My hair growth seems to be excellerating so I was retested and all my hormonal tests came back good. My insulin level is down from 18.1 to 7.8 in a space of one year I'm assuming my insulin has improved through diet and exersise. I do not take glucophage because my doctor said I do not need to given my low insulin level. My doctor suggested yasmin to help with the hair. My question to you is can using yasmin cause my insulin to increase? Will using is make my pcos worse in the long run? How long can one stay on it, can I stay on it up to or through menopause? Thank you. Sandra in Minnesota
