The treatments we have now for PCOS may not only stop (or even reverse?)
your hair loss, but they can really help with the depression and mood
swings as well! It's important that you get treated for your PCOS, so
your son can have his mommy around for as long as possible. I know my
hair started falling out when I was 9, and I had big bald patches for
ages. Now, after taking metformin and thyroid medication it's back,
curly, full, totally covers my head again and looks and feels perfectly
normal and wonderful. So, there's definitely hope! But seeing a doctor
who is up to date and really knows how to agressively treat PCOS (not
just with bcp's) is a definite must. Good luck!
