Hello everyone! I wanted to know if anyone is taking, or has taken in the past, Ortho-Cyclen. I just today was FINALLY diagnosed with PCOS from an excellent doctor that spoke to me in terms I could understand, and basically said everything I expected him to say. (thanks to the knowledge of you wonderful ladies, I have become very familiar with PCOS) He wants to start me out on this BCP, and in a few months if my symptoms haven't gotten any better he wants to put me on glucophage. He said that everyone is different and he wants to see how my body reacts to the BCP before putting me on glucophage as he doesn't want to rush me into all kinds of meds right away. Do you think this is wise? I'm just used to everyone saying that their doctors put them on some kind of meds to help with IR. He also was leary of spiro because of the sodium/potassium problems and didn't RX it for me.He seems to feel that between the BCP and the gluco, I should see a substantial difference. What do you think? Thanks!! Christie
