I have tried NAD's and it did not seem to want to pull the hair. No matter how thin or thick I got the wax, it wouldn't pull. I don't know..maybe it just doesn't work for me.

One more thing on waxing vs. shaving -- It was a big debate when I was in Cosmo school as to whether or not shaving will make your hair grow in more coarse. Even the text books we had offered differing opinions. The conclusion that we came to was that it was a wives tale! Granted, this is just the *opinion* of one cosmo class so please don't squash me if you have a conflicting viewpoint! :) When you shave, you are cutting the hair straight across so when it grows back you feel that straight edge and it feels thicker. When you wax the hair grows from the root and is more pointed at the end so it feels thinner even though it is not. My facial hair has NOT gotten any thicker from shaving - it was thick to begin with. Tera

I COMPLETELY agree with Tera. I too went to cosmotology school, and shaving doesn't make your hair grow in thicker. When you shave, you cut the hair off at the surface and do not come in contact with the root at all, therefore the hair does not change texture. It's just one of those untruths that travel from generation to generation that do more harm than good. I wanted to know if anyone has tried sugaring, and if you have how has it worked for you? It is said to work like wax but not hurt as much because it supposedly latches onto your hair and not your skin. You never know when a product is made out to be better than what it is, though so I thought I'd ask. Nads is also out on the market and I was wondering about that as well. Any feedback? Take care!! Christie
